Dr. Shiela Nguyen, DMD

Dr. Sheila Nguyen has been part of the multi-specialty team at Prospect Dental Care since 2017. She is a Bay Area native. Growing up, she was a student-athlete, receiving her high school diploma from Saint Francis High School and her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the University of California San Diego (UCSD). She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), where she graduated at the top of her class with induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. After dental school, Dr. Sheila Nguyen underwent Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) training on the Big Island of Hawaii, followed by a 3-year Masters of Science and Certificate residency program in Pediatric Dentistry back at UCSF, where she was selected Chief Resident of her class. She has years of experience practicing throughout northern California and Hawaii. Currently, when she is not at Prospect Dental Care, she also sees patients at a private pediatric dental practice in Palo Alto.

As a pediatric dentist, her goal with every family is to provide the highest quality of conservative care and to inspire them towards establishing good lifelong oral health habits against “sugar bugs”.
